“Porta Latina” is making progress

The Latin text is formatted, macronized and proofread 🎉. The audio is also almost ready. In addition, I’ve seen that Moore has also written a quite detailed commentary. I’ll of course add it for you. I always find such notes in the text very helpful, as they often draw your attention to aspects of the […]

Late night dialogues.

The last couple of days I have been working on a set of dialogues in the universe of Auda to allow for more review of vocab and syntax while still making it fun–which isnt all that easy when the number of words is very very limited. Anyway, this evening, I went down to the local […]

“Porta Latina” (F.G. Moore) in the works

Lately we’ve been concentrating mainly on beginner texts (and we’re still working on them, of course), but we’d also like to publish something for the intermediate level again. Porta Latina is a very entertaining collection of 50 fables (based on the versions of La Fontaine) translated into Latin by F.G. Moore. Daniel did an excellent […]

🌟 Translation syncing and continuous scrolling

I’m happy to announce that we‘ve just released improvements to not one, but two central features in the app! First, the translations are now better synced with the Latin! So when you’re reading the Latin text and want to check the English translation, it should now be easier to find the corresponding section. Second, the […]

Testing continuous scrolling

Just a quick update on a new feature that I have been working on recently: We’re in the final testing stage of a new “continuous scroll” option, and hope to be able to release it to you all very soon! When enabled, this option changes the way the Latin text is presented. Instead of flipping […]

🎉 Auda chapter 7 is now out!

After many days of recording, editing, translating, illustrating, and proof listening, we can finally announce that the next installement of our adventure novel for Latin learners is out. Auda and Wulfinus are nowhere to be seen and the Romans are furious. Crassus is enjoying his vengeance when he gets a pleasant surprise… Tap here to […]

Auda, chapter VII almost ready

Our work on the seventh chapter of Auda is making great progress. The first draft of the translation and the commentary are already finished. Now there is still some proofreading and refining to do, but we will be able to publish it very soon!

Book recommendation (intermediate)

Every morning I take about half an hour to read something on Legentibus that is not directly related to my work. I’ve just finished reading Britain and the Emperors again. The title of the book doesn’t sound very exciting, but the text provides a really interesting sketch of the careers of the Caesars who had […]

Familia Romana: images and marginal notes coming to Legentibus

We are very happy to announce that the first five chapters of Familia Romana are now available with the original illustrations and marginal notes. Viviana has done an exceptional and diligent job with bringing these to the Legentibus version of Familia Romana! More chapters are in the works. The first volume (chapters 1–12) of Familia […]

Lots of proofreading

I’ve now added the images and marginal notes to the first five chapters of Familia Romana. We’ll publish a few chapters at a time so that you don’t have to wait until I’ve finished all 35 chapters. Today I’ll proofread everything several times to make sure I haven’t overlooked any notes and that the vowel […]
