When writing stories (right now I am working on Auda) I find I write best in the evening and at night, but prefer editing and revising in the morning (like I’m doing now). I think being a bit tired in the evening/night makes for more creative solutions in storytelling, while being rested helps find inconsitencies in the time line and keep the Latin at the appropriate level.

Right now, I am working on Auda chapter 7 “Redawulfus”. I’ve finished the story of the chapter but now I am working on reducing the number of new vocabulary I introduce in it. I want to make the progression from chapter to chapter feel even and gentle so my aim is to introduce no more than 20–25 new words (and of these several should be fairly transparent, e.g. if I have “accedere”, in one chapter, adding “recedere” will be farily easy to get.’

Anyway, in this chapter I’m down to 35 new words so 10–15 have to go :).
