“Vita sancti Christophori” in the works

A lit­tle update from me. I’m cur­rent­ly work­ing on a new book, name­ly the account of the life of Saint Christo­pher.

The sto­ry of Saint Christo­pher, the giant who unknow­ing­ly car­ried the Christ child across a rag­ing riv­er, is one of the most endur­ing and beloved leg­ends of the medieval world.

The book will present the orig­i­nal Latin text of his life as record­ed by the thir­teenth-cen­tu­ry author Jacobus de Vor­agine in his most sig­nif­i­cant work, the Leg­en­da Aurea or “Gold­en Leg­end.”

It will be read by Pater Mateus Mar­i­ano (eccle­si­as­ti­cal pro­nun­ci­a­tion) and I’ll do a lit­er­al trans­la­tion.
