Show or hide celebration popups

When you have fin­ished study­ing a chap­ter and feel ready to progress to the next, you can tap on the “Mark as read” but­ton at the end of the chap­ter. This is a great way to check off the chap­ter and helps you feel that you are mak­ing progress. To cel­e­brate this, a pop­up will appear that pro­claims that the chap­ter is com­plet­ed, and gives you an overview of where you are in the book.

How­ev­er, there are sit­u­a­tions where these pop­ups may become dis­tract­ing, espe­cial­ly if the chap­ters are short, or if you are a fast read­er who pre­fer to move through the book with­out inter­rup­tions.

Today, we have added the option to turn off these cel­e­bra­to­ry pop­ups. When you have a book open, tap on the three dots in the top-right cor­ner. Then tap the “Play mode” but­ton (), and turn off “Show cel­e­bra­tions”. From then on, there will be no pop­ups when a chap­ter is com­plet­ed, or when you have reached your dai­ly goal. These events will only be marked by a sub­tle sound effect.

If you can’t see this set­ting yet, please close the book, and then select “Reload cat­a­log” in the app menu to get the lat­est ver­sion.
