I’ve recently started reading and, above all, listening to our selection of Ovid’s Metamorphoses again and can highly recommend the book, especially to advanced readers.
The Metamorphoses, consisting of fifteen books, is the best-known of Ovid’s works. In our edition we’ve collected some of the most famous tales, all exploring timeless themes such as love, death, resilience, and the inescapability of fate.
The chosen tales are:
- Pyramus and Thisbe
- Daedalus and Icarus
- Deucalion and Pyrrha
- Bacchus and Midas
- Orpheus and Eurydice

In the recording of these passages, Daniel has sought to respect and thus clearly convey the meter to the learner, while at the same time bringing the stories to life with a careful attention to the meaning and emotions expressed in the text.

Happy reading! 😊
